It has been far, far too long.
I'm actually very slow on the uptake with Butter London - mostly because I'm so stuffed to the gills with nail polish and often suspect I'm just not very good at nailpolishing. My own ineptness means I often overlook the more basic choices: for example base coats, nail strengtheners, and top coats. To build a bitchin house, you need a strong foundation, and my foundations were fairly shaky. My biggest issue is that I bend and tear my nails, more out of old habit than any conspicuously hard work. So my best defense is to keep them short and not make the tearing particularly easy. Enter Hardwear P.D. Quick Topcoat!
What I like most about this topcoat (P.D. stands for pretty darn) is that it's not an interferer. If your chosen varnish is shimmery, then shimmery it will stay post-topcoat. Same deal for matte or low key shades. This one leaves the patents and effect top coats to other brands - this one is just a rock solid piece of awesome and makes me somewhat more confident to venture out in public with colorful nails. And it's nowhere near as fumey as many varnishes, no doubt due to the lack of formaldehyde in the formula. And the bottle! The stickers! Pure class.
And the good news is that there is now a legitimate online retailer for Butter London - a line I'd been a little unsure how to track down online. Having done a solid trawl around MyHaircare, I'm rather pleasantly surprised - they have my shampoo (Redken color extend!!) my favorite hair serum (Orofluido! Best smelling serum ever!) and my most lusted after appliance - the GHD hairdryer, which I will own. And Butter London! Not to mention a trillion other brands that I'm looking forward to getting to know more intimately.
SO GUESS WHAT, I'm doing a giveaway because MyHaircare are total dudes (Australian readers only! Sorry international wimmens). There's a $50 voucher up for grabs, and I'll draw a winner using random.org a fortnight from now. Here's how you enter:
1 entry if you're a twitter follower
1 entry if you're a GFC follower,
1 entry if you're Bloglovin follower!
And you MUST comment with your email and the answer to the following question:
What would you totally beeline for given $50 to spent at MyHaircare? Don't let prudence and credit limits hold you back! They have free express shipping for orders of $50 or more!! Don't miss out on this one, or you'll end up like this guy:
And no one wants to be that guy.
Winner drawn at 8pm, Sunday the 31st of March. I am considering extra entries for responses that amuse or titillate me. Kindly factor this in.
(And yep, MyHaircare sent me the Butter London to try, in the interests of full disclosure).

Ooh I would totally get some Butter London stuff. I'm obsessed with their nail foundation and I'm sure a new polish or two wouldn't go astray. That being said, I'm having trouble thinking right now because that gif is hypnotizing me. I follow via GFC & Twitter (email kimberleyjgriffiths@gmail.com)
ReplyDeleteI'd totally get the Sebastian Volupt Shampoo as it would go perfectly with my Sebastian Thickefy Foam, and the TIGI Catwalk Your Highness Root Boost Spray. Can you tell I'm after volume? It's actually quite sad the VOLUME of products I will try in my quest for big hair. Boom Tish. I'm funnier in real life :)
