More than many things, I feel the need for an Urban Decay Naked Palette. I've never even seen one of these in person. They are suedey and lovely! They come with a brush (or an eyeliner, depending on the edition) and cure cancer! So I've heard. They also send your averge beauty blogger into a frothing frenzy and I am in no way immune. Yes plz.
Guerlain Terracotta Kohl Kajal is a very recent discovery for me, and I am so immobilized by teh Pretty that I can't think about much else. It is beautiful. And is used to apply kohl in the traditional sense (stick into corner of eye, close eyes, drag across to outer corner) and I actually suspect I might be able to do that. It's also completely absent on eBay and I can't find it anywhere, only the loose powder and not the big black crayon thing. One day, Guerlain.
Physicans Formula Happy Booster (not it'sfull name, by the way) has been out in America for donkey's years and I have been gnashing my teeth and rolling my eyes and yet for all my efforts it hasn't made it to Australia. It's not so much as it's supposed abilities to improve your mood (hmm) as it is about the beautiful pattern and the promise of a really light blush. I need very light blushes. Human-toned blushes look clownish on me.

Sugarpill palettes are beauuutiful, and the colors are so bold and bright. It's a little amazing why I'm dragging my feet over this. It'll happen. It WILL. Sugarpill in general appears to be the smart persons Lime Crime and I approve. So many amazing colors and I love a good faux-punk packaging style.
I have been using and enjoying the Argan Oil restorative mask, and now I feel equipped to move to the oil itself. I'm not convinced Moroccanoil itself is superior, so I'm going to shoot for the same brand as my hair mask and go for One n Only. I am slavering in anticipation.
I have never even seen a Wet n Wild Palette in real life, and yet I WANT ONE. I've been seriously considering making an American (male, cosmetically clueless) friend brave Target to find me one. The one (above) I have my heart set on is called Night Elf, and good golly it looks amazing. Well - the colors look amazing. The packaging looks like shit. Unfortunately, WnW does not win me on packaging stakes.

MAC's Lady Danger has been recommended to me SO many times and by SO many people, but the tipping point was the wonderful and sharp @Nerdfish , who has a cooking blog called Thus Bakes Zarathustra (I KNOW, RITE??) and who I have a complete girlcrush on. She recommended it and it has moved mighty far up the shopping list. I might even brave those terrifying MAC girls to secure my prize.

Benefit Dandelion - yup, another pale person blush. I have never owned a Benefit blush! This seems like a situation that must be rectified. And I love the little box packaging! Looks like awesome fun. But Physicians Formula or Benefit first? Oh man.

One Hand Washes the Other - Black Magic: I was completely ready to go buy this this time last week, but the store is closed with no set opening day! Woe is me. All I can do it hover and hope and pray. I hear such wonderful things about this store, and the idea of washing my face with crazy black goo wigs me out and amuses me.

I'm going to get plenty of shit for wanting a Twilight Palette, but whilst I was a complete cynic when I heard about about the line, in person - I'm kind of won. The one I'm eyeing, Alice (above) looks like it has a blush that'd work for me, and I wouldn't use the blue, but the other eyeshadows? Nice. And the packaging is beautiful. SORRY GUYS.

Sarah from Dempeaux wrote about Pure Shea Butter recently, and whilst I'm not dry skinned, I do have elephant heels. And I want to put shea butter on them and wrap them in glad wrap. And slip around like a loon. It sounds like great fun! Shea butter FTW!

I hear Coconut Oil is amazing for your hair, and I want to give it a shot. In theory I should be able to get this from health food stores, but they kind of creep me out. Have you noticed health food stores are full of the most unhealthy, wan looking people? Seriously.

Furless is a very recent discovery for me! And their brushes a completely delightful! Colors! Spectrums! Matching bags! Australian! Cruelty free! Be still my heart. My brushes are my weakness, I need better and more of them.

I suppose buying this NYX palette is dependent on whether I end up with the Naked palette. The Nude on Nude palette is largely considered a dupe for Naked, or else an attempted dupe (jury seems still out) but if nothing else I want this for it's fantastic lip color tray. NYX has a bad habit of putting almost completely unworkable lip colors in their combination palettes, and these all look lovely! What the hell, I'll probably buy it anyhow.
Sometimes the worlds of beauty and hardcore geekery converge, and an Intertube is born. Shiro Cosmetics Intertubes are densely colored, flavored lip tints with names like Sad Keanu and Leeroy Jenkins (you know what these refer to, yes?). Happily my wait for these will soon be over - I have two, Rickrolled and Over 9000. coming in the mail. Woo! Believe me, I will be swatching. So what are you drooling over? I would love to see everyone elses lists, or conversely, your responses to any of the above things. Please? Cmon! It'll be fun!

Ok I'm going to have to do my own Lust List post, but Imma comment on yours first.
ReplyDelete1 - Bleh, I have two neutralish palettes coming my way, so no need for me to explode over this one.
2 - I have a feeling Kajals would just smear all over my oily lids.
3 - Speaking of blushy products... I can't wait for my Sobe Duochrome sample set to get here xD
4 - Yes, yes, yes! Sugarpill are super duper awesome. I need to buy more Chromalusts soon. We could totally go halfsies if you want! We live near each other!
Ok I'm too tired to go through point by point for the rest... I ordered a full sample set of all the intertubes so I too will be swatching :)
Black Magic in creme form is great until you get to the last dregs, in which case it is impossible to get it out of the tube. So I'll be buying the bar form next.
I'm seriously thinking about going down to a Benefit counter and seeing if Hoola will work on my skin. I have this sudden burning curiosity about contouring ever since a friend of mine told me she'd kill for my cheekbones and I was like "For reals, I have those?"
I'm checking out that brush website now. IF I GO BROKE IT'S YOUR FAULT.
MY WORK HERE IS DONE!
ReplyDeleteyeah, totally do a list! I completely want to read that shit.
Great list! Those Innertubes will be amazing, I'm sure! I bought the Naked Palette and a Wet n Wild Palette in Lust when I was in the States last year, and whilst I love the Naked Palette, Wet n Wild was a huge fail for me (although Dee tells me there are better palettes that the six in the range). I've had my eye on that Guerlain liner too and almost bought it about six months ago. Yay for Shea Butter! If it needs moisturising, it'll do it ;)
ReplyDeleteYour comment about braving the MAC girls made me laugh - that's exactly how I feel about them. I do want Lady Danger, though! Or maybe Russian Red...I can't decide.
ReplyDeleteSorry to break it to you, but Night Elf was a limited edition Christmas palette. You'd have buckley's of finding it now - maybe for some ridonkulous price on eBay...
ReplyDeleteI haven't tried the 6 colour palettes, though I do know people who sing their praises. From memory I think Sarah's issue was that it was hard to blend - I must ask some other people who have them whether they've had that problem. I have a bunch of the Color Icon trios, and there is a definite improvement of quality in the latest releases a couple of months ago. I still like the older ones, though. For cheap makeup it's pretty damn good.
By the way, you don't have to scrounge up American buds to find them for you - you can buy them online at Nonpareil Boutique. Shipping can get pricy depending on how much you buy, but still cheaper than buying here. You can get them at Crush Cosmetics too, and being Oz you'll get them in a couple of days, but they don't have a huge range, and you'll pay two or three times the US price for them.
I've not seen a Naked Palette in the flesh either, but I've got one coming my way (slowly but surely).
ReplyDeleteGood luck braving the MAC girls. I recently had two squealing at me about my nailpolish and trying to sell me their concealer-looking shades of lippies. It was an unwelcome change of pace to the normal: completely ignored.
PS. I would walk one hundred miles for a lip product called Sad Keanu.
PPS. They have one called Chocolate Rain!!!!11!!1!!!ONE
ReplyDeletePretty much the best lust list I've ever seen. Well done! The Naked palette is well worth it, I love mine so much! And I have been wanting the happy booster blush for donkeys, ended up getting the Stila heart blush which is similar, very pretty.
ReplyDeleteI'm on Shiro right now, if I purchase I'm blaming it all on you, okay?
=) xx emmabovary
Hahaha I'm actually glad I'm not the only one who has eyed off twilight products!!! I own a gloss and it is rather lovely *shifty eyes*
ReplyDeleteIntertubes WANT!!!!
Oh yehh I had the Black Magic bar soap and it was awesome :D nerrrrrrrr :P
OHWTO will restock the black magic soap in a few days! Her final closing date is June 7th or 8th (I think) but black magic will definitely be back before that :)
ReplyDeleteOh man I love your list. I gotta say, the Intertubes are pretty awesome! I have one of them (which I reviewed on my blog). I am a huuuuge geek, so those were like the most awesome discovery EVAR! As for Wet n Wild, I would not mind sending you a couple of palettes to try out, except the one in the picture you have above was a limited edition holiday palette and is no longer available.
ReplyDeleteMy sister is heading to the States in a couple of weeks and her mission is to hunt down a Naked Palette and some Wet N Wild stuff. I can't wait.
ReplyDelete@Yami - I would love to take you up on that offer. Imma gone email you.
